Tin-plated metal sheet for electromagnetic shielding.

Out of stock

FerroTin tin-plated steel sheet designed for the shielding of electronic systems. The material is ferromagnetic – it shields both components of the electromagnetic field: electric and magnetic. This makes it approx. 10 x more effective than a copper shield of the same thickness.

Specifications:

  • Dimensions 320 x 210 mm,
  • Thickness 0,3 mm,
  • Penetration depth 0,08 mm at 10 kHz,
  • Excellent solderability,
  • Effectiveness 10 times greater than for copper.
Sheet for electromagnetic shielding - small sheet.

Easy soldering
Unlike galvanised sheet metal, our material is tin-plated. It is perfectly soldered with materials used in electronics. The screen does not dissipate heat as quickly as copper, so a small soldering iron used in electronics is sufficient for soldering.

The material is easy to work with. The parts in the photos were formed by hand, using tin snips and pliers. Soldering was done with ordinary tin and a soldering iron used in the electronics workshop.
